Beauty doesn’t demand attention. It lingers in stillness, in softness, in the way someone brings presence to what they do. That’s the kind of beauty Aina carries with her. Rooted in Mallorca, shaped by movement and creativity, she moves with a quiet confidence through the world, translating feeling into form, from dance to fashion to flowers.
We spoke to Aina about her beliefs surrounding beauty and how they have shaped her creative expression.
- Aina Genovés, dancer, florist, muse.
Aina’s sense of beauty is deeply shaped by the island’s rhythm, the warmth of its sun, and the movement of its sea. She began in dance, transitioned through fashion and art, and has now found her medium in flowers, transient, tactile, and emotional. ‘All of these disciplines are connected,’ she says. ‘They’re ways of telling stories, evoking emotions, and working with beauty in different forms.’
As a professional dancer, Aina trained for precision and control. But as she moved away from performance, something shifted. ‘I’ve had to relearn how to move,’ she reflects. ‘To let go and truly connect with my body in a new way, softer, more compassionate. Imperfect and free.’ It’s a liberation she now channels into her floral work. In her hands, flowers become more than an arrangement. They are conversations. A form of choreography.
‘I fell in love with flowers in an unexpected way. They’re alive. They have a presence. Their movement, their fleeting beauty. It all reminded me of dance.’ And like dance, her work with botanics is grounded in feeling. She works intuitively, creating moments designed not just to be seen, but felt. A bouquet, an installation, a workshop; all designed to bring people into the present.
Creativity, for Aina, is a relationship of openness. ‘Inspiration comes in unexpected moments,’ she says. 'I try to stay open to nature, to conversations, to long walks. I also believe creativity needs rest. So I balance intensity with quiet.’ This balance is something she finds echoed in LIV Botanics. ‘There’s something very honest in what you do,’ she replies. ‘It’s pure, thoughtful, intentional. You encourage slowing down and appreciating the essence of things, not just what looks good, but what feels right.
Her favourite part of the day? The quiet before the world begins. Coffee. Light. A slow start. ‘It’s a moment for myself. But also a chance to be with others, even just for a little while.’
Aina joins our community as someone who reminds us that beauty is not fixed, it’s felt. It moves, changes and evolves just like the petals she works with, and the rituals we create with our skin.
We’re delighted to welcome her to the LIV Universe.
