A recent study from the University of Oulu in Finland* revealed a sharp rise in childhood contact allergies over the past two decades, many traced back to everyday cosmetics, shampoos, sunscreens, and wipes. These products, often marketed as ‘gentle,’ rely on preservatives and fragrances that fragile skin cannot yet tolerate.
To care for young skin is to guide, not correct. To teach about skincare is to teach them about respect, for themselves, for their bodies, and for the world their ingredients come from. It’s about helping them understand that their skin is already intelligent, already capable of healing, breathing, and renewing on its own.
Science tells us that balance, hydration, and protection are enough. Philosophy tells us that beauty is not something to chase, but something to preserve.
Our formulations honour the natural rhythm of the skin, protecting its barrier, nurturing its microbiome, and restoring what is lost to time or exposure. But more than that, they exist to inspire a mindset of gentleness.
